Affiliate terms of use
Last updated: June 2026
whatprop is funded in part through affiliate relationships. This page explains how we disclose those relationships, how we keep our rankings independent, and the rules that apply to partners who promote whatprop.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on whatprop are affiliate links. When you click one and sign up or purchase with the firm, we may earn a commission. This comes at no extra cost to you: you pay the same price you would by going to the firm directly, and any discount codes we feature still apply.
We aim to make this relationship clear. Pages that contain monetised links carry disclosure language, and we do not disguise compensated outbound links as purely organic editorial. This approach is consistent with advertising-disclosure rules such as the U.S. FTC guidelines and equivalent EU and UK consumer and advertising laws.
How affiliate tracking works
When you click an outbound offer or "go" link, we may record the click and set or read identifiers (for example, a cookie) so that a resulting sign-up can be attributed to whatprop by the firm or its affiliate network. This tracking is used to credit referrals and measure performance. It does not change the price you pay and does not give us access to your account with the firm. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; see our Privacy policy for details.
Editorial independence
Affiliate compensation does not buy a higher ranking or a more favourable review. Firm scores and rankings are produced according to the methodology we publish, which weighs factors such as pricing, rules, payouts, platforms, and trader feedback. Both paid and unpaid firms are assessed against the same criteria. We may add, change, or remove firms and offers over time, and a firm being listed or linked is not an endorsement.
Verify before you act
Offers, discount codes, pricing, and rules change frequently and may differ by region or expire. Always confirm the current terms on the firm’s official website before purchasing, and read our Risk disclosure, as prop-firm challenges carry a real risk of loss.
For affiliate partners
The following terms apply to publishers, creators, and other partners who join the whatprop affiliate program to promote whatprop or firms linked from our pages. They supplement, and are governed by, the individual affiliate agreement we provide on approval; if there is a conflict, that agreement controls.
Eligibility and approval
Participation is by application and approval. We may accept or decline applicants at our discretion and may suspend or remove a partner who breaches these terms or the affiliate agreement.
Acceptable promotion
Partners must promote whatprop honestly and lawfully, and must clearly disclose the affiliate relationship to their audience. You agree not to:
- Send spam or unsolicited messages, or post on platforms in breach of their rules.
- Bid on or use whatprop trademarks, or confusingly similar terms, in paid search or domains without written permission.
- Use cookie stuffing, forced clicks, iframes, or any deceptive or automated means to generate clicks or sign-ups.
- Make false, exaggerated, or misleading claims, including guarantees of profits, payouts, or evaluation success.
- Promote through content that is illegal, infringing, adult, hateful, or otherwise harmful.
- Misrepresent your relationship with whatprop or any firm.
Compliance and disclosure
Partners are responsible for complying with all applicable advertising, consumer-protection, and data-protection laws in the territories where they promote, including FTC guidance in the United States and equivalent EU and UK rules, and for making the disclosures those rules require.
Brand and content use
We grant approved partners a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use approved whatprop names, logos, and creative solely to promote the program in line with any brand guidelines we provide. All goodwill from that use belongs to whatprop, and we may withdraw the licence at any time.
Commissions and payment
Commission rates, qualifying actions, attribution windows, payment thresholds, and schedules are set out in the affiliate agreement. Commissions may be withheld, reversed, or adjusted for cancelled, refunded, duplicate, or fraudulent referrals, or for activity that breaches these terms.
Term, termination, and liability
Either party may end the relationship as described in the affiliate agreement. On termination, you must stop using whatprop brand assets and any licences end. The program is provided "as is"; to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your participation, and our total liability is limited to amounts payable to you under the affiliate agreement.
Changes
We may update these affiliate terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site or the affiliate program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
